Through the arrival of Virgil Alboh, Louis Vuitton is taking no stops with its futuristic creations of garments, sneakers, accessories and more.
Alongside the luxury labels NYC pop up space, LouiS Vuitton has taken up the first and seventh floors of Dover Street Market Ginza in Tokyo, with another spectacular pop up store.
The synopsis of the collection taken straight from LouiS Vuitton:
First presented on the runway in Paris in January, the Men’s Fall-Winter 2019 Collection is a fusion of multiple inspirations from 1980s pop music, the New York City streets, to an inclusive vision of global diversity. Beginning with the new work Tiger Rainbow featuring a prism color motif, the Collection showcases items including leather goods, accessories, textiles, shoes, and ready-to-wear that embody Virgil Abloh’s ideas for the new Louis Vuitton man. In addition to pre-releasing a selection of products and limited-edition bags that will be only available at select pop-up stores, the Dover Street Market Store in Ginza will be carrying an exclusive jacket design that can be found nowhere else
The look and feel of the store is best described by hypebeast as:
A bold orange hue informs the space, complete with thematic additions like tonal mannequins, a bicycle, bench and even a miniature castle. These set pieces grant a whimsical tone to the displays, which host a wide array of fuzzy layering pieces, statement sneakers, eyewear and revamped takes on the house’s classic bags. Key items plucked straight from the runway include multi-pocketed zip-up vests, neon-tinged pouches fitted with black chains and tonal revisions of Louis Vuitton’s menswear sneaker silhouettes.
